Wednesday, July 13, 2005Things I don’t like to hear from my husband
Received in an email from BJ today: "Just found out I need to leave for **, New Jersey on Monday, 7/18. Won’t be back until Friday, July 29." Three days? Doable. A week? A little less doable. Almost two weeks? I'd better hide the chocolate and sappy movies. That's a heck of a long time to be without him, but we've done this before and I know this won't be the last time. The very thing that first attracted me to him is what causes him to be so valuable to his company. He's just so darned smart and he knows how to get things done. When we were dating, we lived exactly 50 miles apart when we weren't traveling for work. When we traveled, we usually traveled to practically the same destination. His corporate office was only 20 minutes from the office where my staff was, so we always tried to coordinate our travel plans so I'd go visit my staff when he had to go to his corporate office. Then we'd have a rendezvous after work. Oooh la la! The longest we were ever apart was three weeks, but we didn't live together then so his physical presence wasn't missed as much as it will be now. Sigh. OK- I guess I'd better start looking for a pool boy again. RisibleGirl was blabbing on about her adventures again on 07/13 at 04:10 PM
