Thank you Huey Lewis!
Thanks to Huey Lewis, I have a song firmly implanted in my damaged brain.

PS- I've been using that excuse ALL weekend to get out of stuff. "I'm sorry honey, but I have a damaged brain and can't do that". I can see all SORTS of possibilities now...

(As you can see, the pity party is long over....)

Anyhoo, ready for the ear worm?
I want a new drug.

I want a new drug
One that wont make me sick
One that wont make me crash my car
Or make me feel three feet thick

I want a new drug
One that wont hurt my head
One that wont make my mouth too dry
Or make my eyes too red

Only I've changed the words in my head to "I've got a new drug". This Provigil? Holy cow! Love.It.

My Neurologist gave me samples to try out before prescribing because it's rather expensive. I called and left her a message that probably sounds like a junkie calling their dealer. I literally said, "That Provigil is good stuff, sign me up".

Thankfully, in all my research, I've found nothing to say that it's addictive; but I can see how I could become addicted to feeling like my old self. It's nice to feel clear headed for a change.

The only downside is that I think it makes me nauseated. I'm not sure if it's the provigil or a liver flare up. Sometimes I feel like an old horse that should be sent to the glue factory- if it's not one thing, it's another. The upside (Pollyanna, yay!) is that because of the liver condition I have a never-ending supply of anti-nausea meds.

The bearded eye-roller also told me that 'that drug you're taking' makes me a little obnoxious.

This, my friends, is the first clue that I'm feeling good. When I'm feeling good, I'm hilarious. Just don't ask BER, because he'll tell you that I'm down-right annoying.

That poor man doesn't understand good humor, right? RIGHT?
