BJ and I have been going through our tax stuff the past few weeks. There's lots to do, since we're both self-employed.

I proclaimed today as "the day I get rid of the big pile of stuff shoved in my 'stuff' drawer" and thought that I might as well add the 'honey-do' list of finance stuff that BJ has asked me for.

The stuff in my 'stuff' drawer are Dr visit reminders, insurance forms to resend, industry rags to read, etc. Yuck. Yuck. Yuck. I got through the pile about 1/2 hour ago.

Next- on to the stuff I owe BJ. I've been a naughty business owner and have been co-mingling funds in my Pay'friend' account (you know- the one linked to eHay). So many things accept Pay'friend' that it's just too easy to click that button, rather than go to the other room to get my wallet and cc information.

That leaves us with a fun exercise to go through all the Pay'friend' transactions and tell BJ which is business-related and which isn't.

I just finished my report and handed it to BJ. He looked at me like I was crazy and said, "don't you remember doing this with me a couple of weeks ago?" Apparently we did it in person and I printed off the same report I just did today and went through it with him line-by-line.

I don't remember any piece of that exercise- so BJ got the report and showed it to me. There it was- my handwriting and his on it. Less than two weeks ago.

I kind of freaked out about it, because if I have such a blank on this- what else have I done that I don't remember? I'm like everyone else and have 'faded' memories where details are sketchy- but I've never had a realization that I've completely erased something, especially something that happened so recently. It's kind of weird and I wonder if it has something to do with the head bonking.

BJ made me laugh though because I'm not shy about the fact that I hate anything to do with money, finance, bills, etc. He said that I must hate it so much that I completely blocked it out of my memory.

Let me know if I've been in your house and put a lampshade on my head or something.
