It’s official. I’m part of a case study.
..... one of many if someone added up all of the 'stuff' I've healed from. ha ha

I had a torn tendon back at the end of March from being an idiot (not telling the doctor that what she was having me do HURT, and pushing through the pain) during physical therapy after the previous fankle surgery. I went in for an MRI to see what was going on (didn't know about the torn tendon until then) and got a free Platelet Rich Plasma therapy (PRP) treatment during the MRI.

The MRI staff had just received training the day before on this new(ish) therapy and for some reason thought I was scheduled for one. I wasn't, but since they drew the blood and spinned it in the magical machine (not really what it's called.) they decided to go ahead and give me the treatment at no cost. The treatment is normally about a thousand bucks. Of course, they asked me first and explained everything. It seemed like a no brainer to me and I'm glad I went for it.

I went to see my fankle surgeon, at her request, on Monday so she could document that I truly was healed. She was excited to hear that I'm walking an average of 2-3 miles per day at an average of 3mph with no problems.

Apparently she called the surgeon who gave me the PRP and shared with him the good results with my torn tendon, so now he wants me to be part of a study.

So, I'm going in on Wednesday for a free MRI so they can document the before and after for their paper.

In case you're wondering what this is, here's some info. BTW, this isn't the surgeon who performed my PRP.
