What’s up with Priscilla Presley?
I just finished watching Oprah and am a bit disturbed. Today's guests were Lisa Marie and Priscilla Presley. Lisa Marie? If I was a guy, I'd so have a crush on her. She's beautiful. Her mother? Woooah...

Folks, that's a woooah in a BAD way.

I was mesmerized by her face (again, not in a good way.) She has some huge cheek implants, lip implants and lots of botox. I noticed that her upper lip and the space between her lip and her nose didn't budge even when she smiled. She had so much trouble controlling her mouth that she even seemed to have a speech impediment. She sounded like someone who just got their tongue pierced.

She used to be such a beautiful woman and it makes me sad that she's gone so far to try to recapture her youth that she now looks almost like a monster.

On the other hand, we watched a show last night that guest starred Linda Purl last night. I remember being shocked at how old she looked. Even her teeth looked bad (and it wasn't character makeup).

Clearly, as an entertainment consumer I'm hard to please. You had plastic surgery? Boo! You look old? Boo!

The point of this post? I'm glad that I don't have that glaring spotlight on me. I can age gracefully- or not- without people blogging about me.

You should read the book "Child Bride." It's all about how looks-obsessed her mother, a former beauty queen, was, how her parents basically sold her off to Elvis and how bad he messed her up with regards to her self esteem.
