The bearded eye-roller is getting his lasik touched up today. Like mine, his eyes reverted back to needing glasses. He's more of an optimist than me, I guess, because he's willing to do it again. I'm sorry- but if something doesn't work right the first time, why would I give it another whirl?

Since it's eye surgery, he needs a seeing eye person, right? That'd be me, so of course I took the day off.

Interestingly enough, BER is at work right now and only plans to take the afternoon off.

Today is the day that the cleaning service comes. Usually, they come in the afternoon so I thought we'd be out of the house when they come to clean. But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, not today. They are currently cleaning my house while I'm holed up in the office.

Y'all know me- I have a hard time letting people even help me clean the dishes at Thanksgiving- you can imagine how it feels to sit here watching people clean my house! I want to grab the duster from them and join in, but I suppose that would make them uncomfortable.

I also meant to pick up the place a little before they came (I always do), but no chance to do that because I rolled out of bed about 5 minutes before they got here. I haven't even gone to the bathroom yet. I hope they hurry... because I simply can NOT go to the bathroom while they're here, especially if they've already cleaned the bathroom.

I'd feel bad messing up the little triangle they make with the last square on the toilet paper roll.

On top of that, we hired someone to come clean and treat our roof. They're here right now too, and they made the housecleaning service park their vehicle at the bottom of the VERY STEEP, VERY LONG (300?) foot driveway so their car wouldn't get moss and stuff on it as they pressure wash the roof. I felt bad hearing the gals huffing and puffing when they made it up the hill to the house.

I kind of wanted to tell them to put their feet up and let me serve them coffee or something.

I'm too weird for words.
