Ummm, the drugs? Not so much
The Seroquel was supposed to work right away. If that's the case, then I'd say this is a bust for me. Last night I woke up to find myself sitting cross-legged in the middle of the floor. I'm still waking up all night doing the other weird things too. The drug does have one nice side effect, in that it makes me feel more calm during the day. I'm..........so..................tired............I could cry. Really. All of this from one bonk to the head. It's caused me so many problems, and I'm SO very SICK of doctors. /whining. I'll hang in there until after the sleep study, I guess. Maybe this drug will take a while to kick in after all. Sarah, I'm going to try the shining flashlight behind my ear idea. Sounds cool! The break (or whatever it is) is in a weird spot- so I'm not sure I'll see anything- but it'll be a fun experiment! RisibleGirl was blabbing on about another adventure on 09/10 at 04:48 AM

I'm thinking another bonk on the head might resolve everything, no? I feel so bad for you sis that I'd cry with you although, not to be insensitive, imagining you the middle of floor sitting cross-legged while asleep did make me chuckle. I love you - hopefully, this will be over soon!! Poor sis.    ![]() Christi wrote:
Awww, big hugs! If you were living in TV land, you could just re-bop your noggin and have everything go back to normal. Maybe sleeping weird is your super power! Have you ever read Insomnia by Stephen King? Maybe that's where you're headed, and you'll end up saving the day! I know, but since I don't know a good answer, I have to resort to silliness.    ![]() AnnieOfBlueGables wrote:
aaaawwwwwwwhhhhh, I am so sorry. My son went to a sleep study not for a head injury, but for snoring. He said it was really weird to have it be so light in that room where he was supposed to SLEEP, with all those wires, and knowing someone was going to be watching him. He was afraid that he just wouldn't sleep, but apparently, he did enough to give them a conclusion and a happy ending. When he was a young boy, he thundered down the stairs so loudly, we named him Avalanche (Indian name) http://annieofbluegables.blogspot.com/2007/09/indian-names.html But it could have easily applied to the fact that he sounded like one at night when he snored. So maybe for you too, they will help you. I hate that with all your work-related stress that you are ALSO not getting restful sleep. Come on, nobody can get quality sleep sitting in the middle of the floor in a Yoga position! YIKES! GET WELL RG. We all love you, and are rooting for a perfect FIX. I cannot imagine going through this.    ![]() PrincessFifi wrote:
Have you ever heard of Bach's Rescue Remedy? It's a combo of plant extracts that help calm you. There's one for sleep, too, and it works great (although I don't know if it would help the sleepwalking). It's made from plant extracts so it's non-addictive. Not sure if it mixes well with prescription drugs; you might want to check with your doctor. Does BER wake up when you leave the bed?    ![]() Anonymous G wrote:
Am I the only one here who wonders why you bonked your head in the first place??? I'm sorry this is having such a long term effect on you. I wish only the best for you, you know? Hopefully, you'll find the treatment that gets you feeling well and rested. great big HUGS! xoxo RisibleGirl replied:    ![]() Chairman Meow wrote:

They gave me that when I had that entire year of insomnia. That stuff knocked my ass out. Did you know it's a drug mostly used for bi-pola and schizophrenia? It regulated my insomniac brain, so that was cool. But it kicked my ass so bad (50 mg) that I ended up taking 1/2 of a 25 mg. That still worked without the OMFG! I'm so tired I could die! thing. See if a lower dose would help. RisibleGirl replied:    ![]() Miss Ann Thrope wrote:
Oh and it did work immediately in knocking my ass out. I only had to take it for like 10 days and I have no idea how it works but I haven't had insomnia since and that was in 2004, I think.
