Two words
Over whelmed. OK, I know that's really one word, but I'm overwhelmed enough for it to be 50 words. I have another one of those "If I pull this off, I'm a superhero" projects at work. Deadline is Friday and I just don't see HOW in tarnation that's going to happen. I'm creating training around a program I've never seen, I do not have the final specs for, and will not have screen shots until "COB Monday". Yeah, we'll see about that. So far, I have the layout done, and the information explaining why the need for change. I have also poured over the 'proposed but it changes daily' documentation, trying to wrap my brain around it. I don't get to actually see the program until tomorrow. To create training around something, I actually need to SEE it for hell's sake. Last week, I attended about two meetings a day in regard to this project and by the end of the week, I was not even trying to be nice. The division I'm working with is notorious for making things as difficult as they possibly can, and have very little disregard for anyone's opinion or time. These people haven't even seen my training, yet some were telling me that it wasn't going to be enough and others were telling me it was going to be too much. You know what they say about opinions..... ahem. One guy kept telling me the same thing over and over and over again. I finally said (s-l-o-w-l-y in a VERY snotty and tone), "I heard you, I acknowledged you, and I already said I'd do it. Can we move on please?" I couldn't believe those words even came out of my mouth. To top it off, I've developed a nasty cold. Meh. But, like every other time, I know I'll get it done. Even if it means working until 3am. Only 9 more years to retirement..... only 9 more years to retirement..... (my mantra in case you're wondering) RisibleGirl was blabbing on about another adventure on 04/10 at 06:12 AM

the only thing worse than one annoying stupid person are several annoying stupid people. i'm sorry you have to put up with them... i'm sure your training plan will go off without a hitch and you can (rightfully) tell 'em all to go hell. go directly to hell. do not pass "go". do not collect $200. period! elderberry extract and zicam for that cold, girlfriend! i'm telling you--these are the tools that have kept me relatively flu-free the past few months (i even managed to stay well when joel got so sick a couple of weeks ago). even if you are getting sick, they can help reduce your down time...which is always a "good" thing! hope you feel better & that your program is as huge a success as you are amazing/impressive to have put the thing together in the first place!!    ![]() Zube Girl wrote:
I HATE when people repeat things. Really, really hate it. Good luck with it all! And thank you SO much for your comment the other day about that anonymous. It was honest and refreshing. I'm a big fan of that. Next entry: Somebody is going to think I have a whacked sense of humor Previous entry: Hospice club 'sorta annual' meeting minutes In case you're wondering....
