Tomorrow I’m going to wear my lab coat and bring a clip board
Remember the Quiet Car Nazi (QCN)? Well, she performed like a champ again yesterday.

I'm glad I got on the train before she did, otherwise I would have missed the fun.

The lights are normally dimmed on the quiet car, but they weren't yesterday for some reason. This really put QCN into a tizzy. She got on the train and looked around, and then got off the train. I'm assuming it's because she thought that maybe she was in the wrong car. She immediately came back in and looked around, a bit more frantically this time. Then she got off the train AGAIN! Not two seconds later, she got back on and looked even MORE stressed out.

Poor QCN, I can't imagine what it would be like to live in her head.

About 10 minutes later, the security guard walked through the train. She grabbed him by the sleeve and said, "you NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED to dim the lights!" "This is the quiet car". He nodded and walked off, and never did dim the lights.

Of course, without dim lights- people do not distinguish this car from any other car so there was chatting (quiet, though) going on. This is when a few more QCNs made their presence known. There was a lot of shushing and 'reminding' (with stern looks, even!) going on. Eventually, it quieted down- but with every train stop it would start all over again.

Oh the entertainment! I don't know why, but I get a kick out of watching people get their knickers in a twist over really trivial stuff.

QCN gets off the train one stop before mine. I noticed that she makes a habit (well, I've only seen her twice- so not sure if this is a habit) of getting off the seat, which is right by the door, and sitting on the floor in front of the door. I've never seen anyone do that, and I wonder what she thinks she's accomplishing? I also noticed that she had florescent ear plugs in her ears. This woman is serious about her silence!

Yes, I've decided that I must study my little QCN lab rat a bit more. She's just downright fascinating.

The theater of human behavior is the best kind! It's fascinating to see how different people react and behave in different situations...you learn a lot about what makes them tick I think and it's so entertaining!

Please please please just yell QUIET!!!

When she bitches at her, act all sheepish and tell her you have tourettes (SP?).

Then yell Quiet every five minutes.
