Thoughts for a friend

Someone that I am privileged to call my friend shared with me today that she has cancer. I don't think anyone deserves this, but she especially doesn't deserve this.

She's had many struggles and quite a hard road over the past years.

..and then this.

According to my server reports, I have an average of 550-700 unique readers to my site each day, depending on whether it's a weekend or weekday. I am asking those that visit my site to please send healing thoughts toward my friend. Some might call it prayer. It doesn't matter that you don't know who she is; God or the Universe, or whatever your belief system is, will ensure that those thoughts are directed toward her. This, I know to be true.

(((((((Friend)))))), even if you don't know it, my thoughts and love are with you.

I will definitely be praying for your friend. Please encourage your friend not to give up hope, to keep praying, because prayer definitely does work! my boyfriend had cancer a couple of years ago, and was given a 60% chance that he would die in the first year of treatment. 2 years after completing treatment (3 after being diagnosed) he is still going strong, and he attributes it all to prayer. He also stresses how important attitude is in the process. He was 17 when he was diagnosed, so luckily he was treated in the pediatric center, where the kids are more positive and upbeat. It's easy to become depressed when there are so many people dying around you, but if you have a positive attitude (not if I am cured, but WHEN) the chances of recovery are that much greater.

I was truly hoping this wouldn't be the outcome.
Sad that some of life's toughest moments are had by some of the
most wonderful people. I think R said on her blog that she wished she
could 'do' something for her. Me too. Your friend, our friend, is in
my thoughts, love and all the healing energy I can muster is being sent her way.
