This and that
  • The tight sweater was NOT for my female boss. Remember I work with mostly guys? It was to keep their eyes off my cold sores. I believe it worked. wink

  • There's a temporary project manager sitting in my aisle at work. Holy smokes, she has the MOST grating voice of anyone I've ever heard. Super high pitched, talks in baby talk and talks ALL.THE.TIME. Everyone in my aisle are now wearing headphones and doing our best to ignore her. Bless her heart. Meow.

  • I'm testing out lots of low-fat sugar free ice cream recipes. Tonight I made chocolate, using almond milk, chocolate SF pudding, 2 scoops of protein. I added something interesting to make it 'almost' like my beloved Dreyers fully loaded chocolate peanut butter cup ice cream. I mixed peanut butter with splenda and spread it thin on a plate and stuck it in the freezer. It froze quite nicely, so I broke it up and threw it in the "ice cream" (hardly can call it ice cream, right?) That peanut butter mixture was a most excellent idea.

  • The spider bite isn't fully healed yet. I'm going to end up with a bit of a hole in my leg. I'll spare you the pictures. The bruising is almost gone, and it doesn't really hurt much- so I think I've passed the worst of it.

  • Cameron and Kathy just moved into a new place and got a new washer and dryer. Kathy emailed me today to tell me that the washer and dryer arrived yesterday and Cameron was in 'heaven' doing laundry. Yup, he's a chip off the old block. He's as serious about his laundry as I am. He does his mommy proud.

  • Tomorrow I'm going to be VERY VERY thankful that we have central air. Seems silly in Seattle(ish), but I'll bet we sleep better than those without it. It's supposed to get over 100 degrees tomorrow. YUCK and ICK. This old gal doesn't dig hot weather.

  • I'm looking forward to a quiet weekend. I went grocery shopping after work tonight in hopes that I don't need to leave my house. I need to finish editing the wedding pictures and get them out to the kids before they celebrate their 25th anniversary.

  • Next week's gonna be an interesting one at work. I'm tired of typing, so I guess you'll just have to wait to find out.

Re: the annoying temporary PM sitting in your aisle...we have a PM who sits in my aisle and we all had the same reaction! She travels to your neck of the woods often, so how funny would that be if it's one and the same? Meow back at 'cha! wink

Ha ha ha "meow", you are so funny. Now I want you and Practicalgrl to compare notes. Can you take a clandestine picture and email it to her?
My son got some of those headphones that cut out all the noise, heh heh. They are made for airplane rides, but I bet they would work on tempPM?

We all *knew* about the sweater thing distracting the guys (ahem) didn't we? I was just reading an older post and you had a spider bite on your neck a year ago. You poor sweetie.

The ice cream sounds wonderful! Good for you. Good idea with the pb. I want to try that. Do you buy almond milk in the store or do you make it yourself with YardSnacker's recipe? mmmm I have found sending a bunch of frozen strawberries and bananas through my Champion juicer (ala yardsnacker) makes such fab ice cream!mm mm mm
but it is not pb chocolate that is for sure.

Hurray for C & K and the new W/D. It reminds me of that scene in Fiddler on the Roof, all coming to see the "new arrival" and it is a sewing machine. hee hee. Nothing is as great as getting that first W/D.

Sorry about the heat. We are actually enjoying a little cooler air lately, ::knock on wood::

Your "this and that" post was a fun one.

hahaha to shea. Reminds me of the Truman Show. Good morning, and in case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!

And a good night to you!

I want to see a pic. Are you positive it wasn't a brown recluse? Those things can mess you up but good. Their venom is like the flesh eating disease only faster acting.

The "meow" at the end of the second bullet is an outstanding touch. Cracked me right up! LOL
