The thrill is gone
My friend Phyllis, over at Random Southerner, popped me an email the other day. It went something like this: By the way, you man-stealing Ho, Hugh Laurie will be on 'Inside the Actor's Studio' on Bravo tonight, 8:00 p.m. eastern. I've received more slack from the women o' the Internet about my Hugh Laurie. Ya'll have been fighting over him, and so I thought it was very nice of Phyllis to let me know he was on Inside the Actor's Studio. Yeah, now I know what she was up to.... The bearded eye-roller and I watched it last night on the TiVo and, well, ick. He's nothing like his persona on House. He seems shy and not very self-confident. I'm sure he's probably smart, but there wasn't a lot of evidence of it. So, women o' the Internet, he's up for grabs. I had to go find myself a new Celebrity Boyfriend. ![]() Introducing Anderson Cooper. Yeah, I know he's gay- but that's not stopped my celebrity crushes in the past. Why do I have a crush on Anderson Cooper? Well, besides the obvious, he's smart AND he's a philanthropist. Perhaps my crush on Hugh Laurie will return, with the return of 'House' and his jackassery ways. We shall see... Oh, and Phyllis? I have to give you props. Seeing what he is really like was an EXCELLENT way to make me give him up willingly. RisibleGirl was blabbing on about another adventure on 08/02 at 06:23 AM

Of course I had to run right over!!! I think I have a crush on Dr. House, not on Hugh Laurie. Does that make sense?    ![]() Angela wrote:
I saw him on some talk show (Regis and Kelly maybe?) and nearly fell off my couch when I first heard him speak with a British accent. I hadn't seem him in anything before House and had no idea that he wasn't American through and through. I actually liked him better in his British persona And Anderson Cooper is a cutie... he certainly has the attraction of being unavailable which is apparently a requisite to me being interested!!    ![]()    ![]() Phyllis wrote:
I think how Hugh Laurie appeared was more a function of how La Lipton handled the interview than anything. Maybe I'll get lucky and he'll ruin James Spader for you as well.    ![]() anne wrote:
I love that show.. But you're right about how it can manage to change a few opinions about a person when you watch them on there. hugs,    ![]() Katie wrote:
Hugh has got the CRAZIEST accent ever.. I'm quite impressed by how well he covers it up on House (which, I must add, Netflix has been sending me religiously.. how I love them!)    ![]() Raggedy wrote:
Wooooooooohoooooooo on the new guy! You can keep him and the preceding one..I have no clue who they are.. I don't do celebrities.. Have a wonderful day! *^_^ (=':'=) huge huggles (")_ (")Š from da Raggedy one    ![]() Jennifer wrote:
That's the trouble with those celebrity types. They're never what you expect once you finally *meet* them in person. ha! However, I'm with Wordnerd up there. It's House I love, not the man who plays him on TV. That' Phyllis is one smart cookie, eh? And also? At least you picked a boyfriend I'm not inclined to wrestle you for...although he does have some dreamy blue eyes...
