The only thing I miss about being single
I know what my sister will be saying about this. She thinks I have some strange cravings, and she's right. Until now, my sister has been the only one privy to my weird food combinations and strange dinners. When I was single, it was no big deal to eat weird stuff. My meals would be things like sauteed cabbage and onions with some chinese chili sauce (can you imagine how thrilled hubby would be if I ate that before going to bed with him?), or spinach and vinegar, or cheese melted in the microwave with chopped onions and tomatoes (trying to go without chips, I had to be creative.) Tonight, hubby is with his investment club. They meet once a month for dinner, and that's my night to eat weird stuff. Tonight's meal of champions consisted of the following: Sliced salame Sliced cheese with ranch dressing on it Tomatoes (eaten like an apple, with some pepper) and, I think I'll go pop some popcorn for dessert. The drink? Diet rootbeer. Tomorrow, I'll resume to the Ozzie and Harriet meals I usually serve. All four food groups are represented, and I ensure that the meal includes a variety of color. Presentation is everything, you know. Just not tonight. RisibleGirl was blabbing on about another adventure on 10/18 at 05:10 PM

Hello! Thought I'd follow the link from your iVillage sig and say hi since I haven't been saying too much there lately. Sounds like your eating habits are about as good as mine when I don't have to worry about "setting a good example," for my son. I love your layout, especially the header, by the way!    ![]() ED wrote:
I LOVE spinach with vinegar! It's the only way to eat canned spinach which is otherwise stringy , kind of slimy and rather gross... don't you think? But I eat my tomatoes with salt, not pepper...    ![]() R wrote:
I feel so much better! Mine aren't nearly so odd hehe. I used to do CheezWhiz on a flour tortilla, microwaved (if the word "cheese" is spelled with a "z" you know it's not really a dairy product) and for dessert: a spoonful of peanut butter with powdered sugar mixed into it. No, B has no idea, and never will.    ![]() Cat wrote:
Hey, tomatoes eaten like apples are the BEST! I'm big on mashed potatoes, peas and mashed cauliflower all smooshed together. My boyfriend tolerates a lot. Heh.
