Tagged!
Struggling With Comfort tagged me to list five things I miss from childhood. Here goes: 1. Wearing the same thing over and over and not caring. I had one favorite dress in elementary school. It was made of green quilted material and I would have worn it every day if my mom would have let me. She had a thing about wanting me in clean clothes. Go figure. 2. Endless imaginative possibilities. I still have a very creative mind, but now I know that there are limits to what can be done. For instance, I now know that it would be impossible to dig to China, or create a robot out of a big laundry detergent box. 3. Pigtails and bangs. Easy to do, but I'd look awfully silly with that style now. 4. The tooth fairy. Talk about easy money! I just don't think that the tooth fairy pays enough for me to give up my pearly whites, so I guess I'll keep my day job. 5. Prank phone calls and slumber parties. The two go hand in hand. I feel sorry for kids these days with the invention of caller ID. Kind of takes the fun out of it. I'm going to break the tag chain because I've abused way too many people. Instead, I invite you to give me your list. You can either do it in my comments or on your own blog. If you do it on your own blog, please let me know so I can read it! I send my mom and dad some of my posts (they don't have a link to my blog because some of my posts would be offensive to them). I liked my mom's response: 1. Dressing up to be anything I wanted to be. Mostly a great actress. 2. Sitting on the front porch with nothing to do except dream. No structured sports or strict schedules. 3. The ice cream truck. 4. Talking to and loving my cat. 5. Playing with paper dolls. That was fun, thank you for the precious moment in time past. Be the change you wish to see in the world.
