Internet? I hope you realize how much I love you, because after today I shall no longer be able to ride the quiet car. And it's ALL YOUR FAULT.

Today I grabbed the perfect seat for QCN documentation. I've tried to take pictures before, but they didn't turn out very well. The pictures I got today aren't the best either, but I'm afraid it's gonna have to do because I'll not be riding the quiet car for a long time.

So there I was minding my own business on the quiet car (ha ha! Riiiiiiiiiiiight!), and someone's cell phone rang. Today was my lucky day because the ringing cellphone was directly behind the QCN. I was concerned at first because QCN had her ridiculous ear plugs in her ears, but thankfully QCN didn't disappoint. The conversation went for a surprisingly long time before QCN got cranky. I could see her turning and looking at everyone with a look of "Do you hear this?" "Do you hear this person talking on her cell phone in the QUIET CAR?" "Who's with me?"

Ummmm, that'd be nobody.... Well, except me. I was on the edge of my seat in anticipation. But QCN turned back around in her seat after not seeing any support from the fellow quiet car riders.

The straw that apparently broke the camel's back came when the yacker started making her grocery list with the person on the other end of the phone. QCN couldn't take it anymore, so she flat out turned around. I was waiting for her to poke the yacker on the shoulder, but it didn't happen.

Now, I tried to get the photo as she was turned around in her seat, but my cellphone camera is S-L-O-W. I caught her as she started turning back around, so this is as good as it gets:


The conversation ended VERY quickly after that.

Now, do you see how close to the door where QCN was sitting? The next photo is a picture of her sitting on the floor in front of the door. I'm telling you, I don't get it. NOBODY sits on the floor for one- but her normal seat is right next to the door.


I'm sure you're wondering why I can never ride the train again. Well, I was caught by another passenger (thankfully, not QCN). I overheard the passenger talking to someone next to her about the fact that I was taking pictures on the train.



So we'll have to postpone our studies of QCN until further notice. I'm pretty sure we'll be back in business in about a month.
