My brain? Really, it’s a circus in there…
This morning my nose was ASSAULTED in more ways that I would have liked. OK, I guess I never want my nose to be assaulted, but that's beside the point.

This guy sat next to me on the train wearing SO MUCH cologne that it made me nauseated. Seriously! I'm not one of those that can't handle perfumes and colognes. In fact, I like a nice smelling man- but this guy wore way too much. I honestly thought I was going to lose it.

But then? He passed gas.

That smell dissipated quickly and I was once again overwhelmed with the cologne.

And then? He passed gas again.

Here's where you'll agree that my mind is a scary place. I was actually having an argument in my head about which 'scent' bothered me less.

Me: Which smell is less offensive?
Me: I think it's the gas
Me 2: Are you sure? Wait a minute then decide
Me: No, you're right- it's the cologne
Me 2: Ewwww, here's your chance to compare again
Me: Nope, I changed my mind. It's the gas

...and so on.

See? I'm just downright S.C.A.R.Y.

Are you sure they said everything was fine with your head? Maybe you should have it checked again just to be sure...

You funny girl! You're right! I wonder if this is one of those symptoms that will never go away. Crazyness. Oh wait, I was already there.

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!! That is so disgusting! I feel so sorry for you. I was just relishing the fact I don't have to use public transportation this week (good because of the heatwave) and now you've reminded me of one of the many other reasons I don't like taking the bus. Nothing worse than being enclosed in some tube of a vehicle surrounded by people (or sitting next to just one) who smell or bring their bad habits on board. You need a gas mask. hahahahahahahahahaha!! Hopefully the ride home is much better.

RisibleGirl replied:
Yeah- gotta love the public transportation. At least it's made for some good stories, eh?

Its good to be somewhere way out west, where I DON'T have a choice except to just get into my car and drive that 150 miles to choir all by myself, listening to my book on tape and singing at the top of my lungs with no one to make any judgments, and no one to judge either. And no one wearing horrible cologne or doing any other obnoxious things.
I love riding the trax in the big city and long for that kind of thing to come to my tiny town some day. I envision myself making many crocheted bedspreads while someone else is doing the driving, until I read about your fun experiences. It does make for good reading though. Thanks, I think, for sharing?
