In between
It's hard to believe, but the movers have almost finished taking all the stuff they packed yesterday out of the old place and they only started about 2 hours ago. They still need to move the stuff out of the garage, but I'll bet they'll be done by noon with everything.

Right now, I'm sitting in the corner of the living room so I'm out of the way. I'm pretending to be working (even using the occasional scowl and "you IDIOT!" comments) so I don't feel so guilty about not helping. What is that guilt thing about? I'm paying them, for pete's sake.

Now that everything is off the walls, and furniture moved out, I've learned that The Hubs was VERY good at hiding 'imperfections' when he moved into this bachelor pad. HOLY COW- this place is a dump! There are huge holes in walls that were hidden behind things, huge stains on the carpet in the living room. The place is horrible looking without all of our stuff in it (or rather, covering it).

We're definitely going to have to paint. I'm not quite sure what to do with the holes in the walls. I'm not talking holes- I'm talking caves! Like 1ft by 1ft or more. One hole goes all the way through to the other room. What is THAT about? It's just crazy. I can't imagine anyone wanting to buy this place in this shape. Blech... it's depressing. There's also a spot where it was never drywalled and it's bare wood sticking through. Not just bare wood, mind you- it's like a log or something.

I seriously had NO idea what was lurking behind all of the art in this bachelor pad. Yikes.

I hired a cleaning crew to clean up the place after the movers finish; but I want to clean first because there are COBWEBS lurking where furniture once was. I already took my vacuum to the new place, so that's impossible. The cleaning crew are going to think we were pigs! It's really embarrassing, so I wonder if I should just leave the place unlocked and tell them to let themselves in and out. That way I don't need to be around to witness the horror.

Heh- I'm sure they've seen worse. Let me introduce myself- I'm RisibleGirl.. the one who is obsessed with cleaning.

Our stuff won't be at the new place until tomorrow, so we're in between places. It's kind of weird.

I'm SO ready to get out of this place. It served its purpose, but it's definitely time to move on.

Tell the cleaners you just got rid of some very very nasty renters and are getting the place spiffed up for the next ones!

I used to work for a cleaning company and we had a couple clients like that! We'd show up and they had already pre-cleaned the place...I loved those women *chuckle*

Wow, I don't even clean when someone I'm trying to impress visits! Then again, if yu're going to clean up for the cleaning crew, you might just decide you've sone a better job, then cancel their services. Money saved!

I'm one of *those* people, too, if it makes you feel any better. I know you're anxious to get settled! I also have little doubt you're going to feel right at home in your new place in no time at all. grin

And my "word"?

Activity. Appropriate, eh?

*rofl*

I hereby rescind my invitation to adopt me!

Frankly I'm scared of holes in walls.

I know you're moving, it is still scary. I have my rights don't I?

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I miss my non-avatar!

Wow. I can tell that I've really missed a lot during my absence. I can't wait to work my way backwards and see how you got here. I hope that all is well for you and Hubby. As one of the recently moved, I feel your pain.

Amazing what can hide behind art isn't it? Makes you wonder what others might be hiding when you go to visit...
Glad to hear things are going okay - I'm excited to hear about the new place!
