I’m such a girl
The Hubs comes home tonight and I couldn't be more excited. I had made lots of plans to do all kinds of *great* things and have done very few of those items on my list. In case you're wondering.....

Eat stinky food? Nope
Interview and hire a pool boy? Nope, but then again, we don't have a pool.
Lots of reality TV? Only two shows. TWO. Sheesh.. I'm a failure.
Work on MIL's site? Nope
Eat really garlicky, stinky things? Nope
Leave my flattening iron and makeup on the bathroom counter? Yes
Leave the bed unmade? Sort of....
Eat popcorn for dinner and chase it down with a diet rootbeer? Once

Instead I worked overtime and burned some new CD mixes. I even made a special CD mix of love songs for The Hubs because, well, I'm a big pile of goo.

And now for your cheesy pleasure, here's the list of songs on his CD:
  1. Nothing I've Ever Known (Bryan Adams)

  2. Valentine (Martina McBride)

  3. Bless the Broken Road (Rascal Flatts)

  4. Have You Ever Been in Love (Celine Dion)

  5. I Will Always Return (Bryan Adams)

  6. Always and Forever (Luther Vandross)

  7. Amazed (Lone Star)

  8. For the First Time (Kenny Loggins)

  9. I Could Not Ask for More (Edwin McCaine)

  10. Forever (Kenny Loggins)

  11. The Way You Love Me (Faith Hill)

  12. I'll Be (Edwin McCain)

  13. When I Said I Do (Clint Black and Lisa Hartman) (Our wedding song!)

  14. A Groovy Kind of Love (Phil Collins)

I dunno... I think I might have a crush on my husband. red face

So, what would be on the soundtrack for the one that you love? If you haven't made that soundtrack yet, what are you waiting for?

It would be classical music, and the cd would have to have Bolero and Carmina Burana on it - and that is a weird mix! But, it's two pieces that hubby played for me while we dated.

Oh don't have much of a mushy romantic side these days. If I made a CD about love it would include songs like:

Going thru the big D and don't mean Dallas, Since you've been gone, and Who's cheating who.

I'm not much of a romantic either but I do occasionally have a moment. so here's my 10.

1. Love song by the Cure
2. Thank You by Jimmy Page & Robert Plant
3. I Drove All Night by Cyndi Lauper
4. Possession by Sarah Mclachlan
5. Here With Me by Dido
6. White Flag by Dido
7. Never Too Much by Luther Vandross
8. Don't Know Much by Aaron Neville & Linda Ronstadt
9. Don't Take Away My Heaven by Aaron Neville
10. Stranglehold by Ted Nugent

Ok, Stranglehold might be weird but he'd rock out to it and that makes it all good.

So maybe I'm just a tad more romantic than I let on.

What? You didn't get to enjoy that hot sauce you love?

White Flag is greatness, by the way. wink

We put together a CD of "romantic tunes" a couple of years ago. They're great for dancing cheek to cheek...you never know what might happen next. wink

Frank Sinatra - Someone to Watch Over Me
Dusty Springfield - The Look of Love
Frank Sinatra - I Thought About You
Frank Sinatra - My Funny Valentine
Etta James - At Last (sighhh...)
Bobby Darrin - Somewhere Beyond The Sea
Diana Krall - Gentle Rain
Norah Jones - Come Away With Me
Jamie Cullen - What a Difference a Day Made
Tony Bennett - Just the Way You Look Tonight (OUR song)

we really like the hard stuff, too..but this is our mush-time music.

I made a CD for him for Christmas 2003.. I can't remember what's on it but I'll dig it out and see if I can find it. Haven't done anything like that since we've been living together however. You ARE in love!! wink
