I don't know about your blog software, but I can see what the URL will be as soon as I type in my title. If I've had the same title before, it will add a 2 to the end. I mention this because I'm surprised I've never had this particular title before- because we ALL know what a dork I am.

Hey, I'm a dork and I'm LOUD and PROUD about it.

I've been assuming that I've put on a lot of weight in the past few months because my clothes fit differently. Not a LOT- but certainly a wee tighter than I'd like. I 'called' it 15 lbs, and prayed that it wasn't 30. I refused to step on the scale, however, because I was afraid if I looked at the number, it would put me into an emotional tailspin.

Yes- I'm THAT emotionally tied to the scale.

I decided to bite the bullet and get on the scale this morning and you know what? I've gained exactly 7 lbs from my lowest weight last December. I've been walking around covering up my "hideous" body in non-form fitting clothes, etc. because I didn't want everyone in the world to see that I'd gained 15 lbs (over and above the 7 I already knew about).

Yes- I still am 7 lbs higher than my lowest weight (that would be last December, when I took this picture), but that's not THAT big of a deal, now is it?

By the way- who IS that person in that picture with the dark hair and glasses?

Once i get my life back in order, I can take that off EASY, plus the rest that I want to lose. When you consider everything that has gone on this year; two surgeries, one head bonking, two drugs that reportedly make you gain weight, (list to infinity....), I think 7 lbs is pretty miraculous.

I will say that I'm in a MUCH better mood now that I've finally weighed myself. Maybe I'll celebrate with a blizzard from Dairy Queen.

I kid.... I kid....

BY the way, wish my lil' friend Annie of Blue Gables a happy birthday will you? She's a very special lady and deserves a GREAT birthday.

Maybe she'll get a birthday song later.
