I've been meaning to post about this since it happened last night, but never remembered when I was around a computer.

FINALLY- I remembered.

Last night, The Hubs and I watched 'The Glenn Miller Story', an old movie with Jimmy Stewart and June Allyson (why is it that I can't see her face without thinking about adult diapers? Sorry June, you're branded...)

Anyhoo--- I'm not sure how true this movie was to the facts, but if this particular piece is true I'm going to have to say it's the most bizarre thing I've ever heard. OK, hang on- I need to go research this. I'll be right back...

OK forget it. I can't find anything about it. If it's important to you, you research it. Meh.

Alright, so on their 10th anniversary, Glenn Miller's wife surprises Glenn with an adopted baby. She just drives up in a cab with a six week old baby and says, "surprise- here's your new daughter".

Who does this? I kept laughing and repeating myself for the rest of the movie, "who surprises their husband with an adopted baby?" I guess things were different back then.

I think this gives me license to surprise The Hubs with a new puppy. Surely, that's less of an infraction than a six week old baby, right?

Seriously though.... who does that? I can't stop laughing about it.
