He’s sensitive like that…
The Hubs and I have a morning routine where the person whose alarm goes off gets their back rubbed for 5-10 minutes, usually without exchanging any words. Then we both get up. The days I telecommute, The Hubs alarm goes off at 6 a.m.; Tuesdays and Thursdays my alarm goes off at 5 a.m., and weekends are for 'no alarm' reciprocal back rubs. We've been doing this as long as I can remember and is a really nice way to start the day. This morning it was hubby's turn to get his back rubbed, and I broke the 'cone of silence'. I told him that as I was on the train yesterday I started getting all sentimental about how everything seems to have turned into "we" when he's sharing information with family and friends. "We" really like this show. "We" really like shopping here. "Our" favorite restaurant is... etc. I told him that I had a big smile on my face thinking about how he's turned into such a "we" person. I dunno... it just made me all dreamy-like and happy that there is a "we". It feels so *solid* to me. Suddenly the back rub was over when he turned to me and put his hand on my forehead. He said he was checking me for a fever. Hmmmph. "WE" are not amused. RisibleGirl was blabbing on about another adventure on 03/30 at 06:27 AM
