Girls gone wild!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah- we were wild alright..... Lessee, I think I'll just bullet point the highlights of girls gone wild the slumber party.
  1. First order of business was the obligatory walk through the gardens. Obligatory because EVERYONE is obligated to walk through my gardens. Thankfully for them, it wasn't raining.

What? You want to see what they saw? OK, since you insist...

I was quite impressed with my friend "C's" knowledge of flora and fauna. She helped me figure out some of my plants and we impressed "D" (who nodded like she cared) with our knowledge of birds.

  2. Second order of business was to sit and watch the birds and squirrels. They got to see the squirrel who I affectionately now refer to as "two-nut". He always shoves two peanuts in his mouth before running off. The other squirrels are satisfied with just one. Porker....

  3. Whilst watching the fauna, "C" was telling us about garden stones that she'd been creating. The brains of the gang (even though she's blond.. ha ha), "D", thought it might be fun for us to make garden stones as an activity. So, off we went to the craft store.

You can JUST imagine how wild and crazy night was going to be, can't you?

  4. We spent about an hour picking up supplies at the craft store. Have you seen three women in a craft store together? It wasn't pretty. So many crafts to plan... so little time.

Since we were out, we decided that we might as well have dinner. Ummmm, at 3:30. Thankfully we don't qualify for the senior citizen early-bird menu... we just act like it.

  5. We got home and proceeded to work on our garden stones.
    The supplies

    Mixing the cement

This was supposed to be the consistency of brownies... Mmmmmm... brownies

    The finished products

  6. We finished off the evening with snacks and movies (on the bearded eye-roller's big screen, even!) The snacks? Not such a good idea for RisibleGirl. I've been avoiding sugar and processed foods since September, except for rare occasions. Even then, it's very small amounts. I soon learned why I should avoid these things. Blech.

We were up until 2 a.m. I haven't seen 2 a.m. since... well, ummm... I'm too old to remember these things. Let's just say it was a VERY long time ago.

The next morning we had coffee and repeated step two until everyone went home.

We talked VERY LITTLE about work, which is amazing since we work for the same company and have worked together off and on for the past decade plus. That, to me, is a huge statement about where our priorities lie at this stage in our lives.

I had a wonderful surprise about an hour after everyone left. The bearded eye-roller called to say he was coming home a day early from his golf tournament. I told him that I was beyond happy that I'd get to see him sooner than I thought I would, but wondered why he cut his trip short.

His answer? "Because I wanted to come home to kiss your face".

Sigh....

I just can't think of a better way to end an already fabulous weekend.

That's so adorable that y'all did arts and crafts at your slumber party, lol!! I think my mom would fit in pretty awesome with you all--every time I go home the first thing I have to do is take a tour through the garden and find all of the new additions!

And I'm so glad hubby made an early appearance, what a nice surprise!

You had me right up until the craft store.

And by the way the celebrity boyfriend? Was mine first and I will not hesitate to go all redneck on you over him.

It sounds like a fabulous time, all the way around. And I know what you mean about Michael's. I can spend hours and hours and hours in there, buying up everything in sight. Funny that I can't seem to find an equal amount of time to actually USE the supplies once I get them home!

Your celebrity boyfriend is cheating on you. With me. FYI.
