Disturbing dream
I've always heard that you're not supposed to see yourself die in your own dreams, but last night proved to be the exception to the case for me. Actually I’ve seen myself die in a dream before, but this dream was very disturbing, because it just kept going on and on.

George Hamilton (yes, the 'actor') was driving me around in a convertible. Not sure why GH was in my dream, but I seemed to be familiar with him enough to tell him that he was driving too wild. Turns out that I was right and we crashed and rolled into a ditch.

I saw my dead mangled body outside of the car in a ditch.

Then I saw myself (it was like watching a movie) walk away from my body and GH walking away from his. I was angry with him and told him that he should have been paying attention. Just like in a movie, my 'spirit' looked fine- no scratches or blood, but in the background I could see my body.

In the next 'scene', I walked up to a co-worker (someone that I don't really know all that well) and said hello. He looked at me, very surprised, and said, "I thought you were dead". I told him that I was dead, but I was visiting people and he was on my list. I was interrupted by people who were trying to confuse me. I don't remember what it was they were doing, but I remember that they were frustrating me on purpose and I ran away from them.

My next 'visit' was to my home. My husband wasn't there, but I saw several flower arrangements on one of the tables. There was also a card on the table, so I opened it. The card was a sympathy card to my husband for his loss OF ME.

It was then that I cried, and I guess I was really crying, because I woke up sobbing in tears.

Again, very disturbing, and not sure what to make of this dream.

So if you die in your dreams....you're really dead, right?

Oh, wow. Now this is ironic, or coincidental one.

I watched 'Topper' last night.

Ever seen it?

The part where they crash their car, their bodies are flung on the ground, and their ghosts get up and walk away, not knowing at first that they are dead because they don't feel any different?

And then they go visiting?

Um, yeah.

Wow.

first time i've heard of an out of body experience in a dream, that's just thoroughly confusing...next time it'll be deja vous in a dream about a dream you've gonna have..

Yikes! I don't think I've ever had an actual death dream. I know I've had plenty where I was running from someone/thing trying to off me. Hope you don't have that one again sheesh!

Yes, it is really disturbing to get those kind of dreams... I've had tons of them, often repeated... I died a million times, in many different ways... Or those whom I loved died... And they kept dying over and over again... Lol!!.. Now that I'm sayin this, it almost sounds funny!!

I'm glad I got over those nightmares long back.. Then again, I had them as a very little kid, which was bad coz that was at a really impressionable age... Either ways, my dreams really affected my life, just as my life affected my dreams....

All you can do is to relax... The best person to figure out the meaning for you is you, you know yourself best... Then again, remember that all dreams cannot have interpretations and/or meanings.... I have my interpretations and I can define them by a single word.. Nobody did that for me...

Wishing you all the best, and sweet dreams.

Actually, it means absolutely nothing.
Sometimes, people will, subconsciously, allow the power of suggestion to play out. But, in fact, dreams are simply activity of the core. Randomly sparked glitches of the deepest memory.

A bigger question is whether, during the dying brain process, we can be victim of such core activity. Will our last thought be unpleasant?
That is a bit bothersome.

I can interpret dreams. This one means you need to stop eating garlic chili sauce at night while watching old movies. That is all.

Eek, what a horrid dream. I woke up crying one time too. It wasn't very nice, but fortunately I went back to sleep almost immediately.
