Coming out of the closet
I've decided that using nicknames for everyone is confusing (even to me!), so I've asked permission from my family to use their first names instead of their nickname. I even used a utility to change all instances of their nicknames throughout my blog. Pretty cool, eh?

I think we're still private enough, as long as I don't add their last names, social security numbers and birth dates (oh wait- you probably have those, since I tend to post mushy posts on people's birthdays!)

I've added a Cast of Characters on the left nav bar to help you navigate with the 'new' names. I even made a lil' map of the blog family tree!

Going forward (in alphabetical order!):

The Bearded Eye-Roller (aka BER) is BJ (my husband)
S1 is Cameron (My oldest son)
S2 is Casey (My youngest son)
Cozy is Heidi (My sister- who also has a blog, linked in the left nav bar)
Dear Heart is Jessica (Casey's fiancé)
Sweet Girl is Kathy (Cameron's fiancé to be, I hope)
Ranger Mike is Michael (My brother)
Dollface is Riley (Jessica's son. I'm claiming him as grand baby number 1)
Chairman Meow is Sam (Heidi's husband -who also has a blog, linked in the left nav bar)

Wow- this will be MUCH easier dontcha think?

No I wasn't confused, except for Dear Heart and Sweet Girl, but I knew they were the boy's sweethearts. Probably easier for the outsider, like me, who doesn't know their names anyway. I will be confused for a while, because I was used to reading "between the lines" so to speak. ha ha
