Although I take my job seriously…..
I like to have fun when I'm at work. On the prank-o-meter scale, I'd say my antics have lessoned to such a degree that I'm no longer considered a force to be reckoned with. I just provide 'delightful' little surprises every now and then. Such as this: ![]() This red phone was on the wall in the hall by my desk. It reminded me of the bat phone, so of course I had ensure everyone around me saw it as the bat phone too. Apparently my evil plans succeeded because, although my sign was taken down after a week, we received this bulletin from our move coordinator a couple of days ago: ********************* Common Area Phones No, those red telephones aren’t direct lines to President Bush, or to the Bat Cave. They’re actually land-line phones that can be used in case of a network outage, should the Voiceover IP phones not work. We have one in each quadrant of each floor. Signs will be put up shortly to explain this. ********************* Ahhhh yes, my work here is done. RisibleGirl was blabbing on about another adventure on 05/17 at 05:16 AM

You're good, so good... oh my. I haven't laughed that hard in a while. Thank you!    ![]() Zube Girl wrote:
You are my hero. Hee hee. Leave it to a big company to feel the need to explain the purpose of the phone. You're awesome.    ![]()    ![]()    ![]() brian wrote:
Good one. When a bunch of people were leaving a place where I worked in a short amount of time, one person put a picture of a revolving door on the common bulletin board. It did not go over well. Doesn't every office have a "bat phone?" Why no sense of humor. Sheesh.    ![]() Miss Cellania wrote:
Stiff shirts have no sense of humor. But you do! At my (former) workplace, the room with the mainframes and servers was locked to us peons. But it had its own phone line, which we couldn't answer anywhere else. That room was the Batcave, and the constantly ringing line was always the Bat Phone.    ![]() Jem wrote:
That's one of the funniest things all day. I wish I had such imagination for neat pranks and witty escapades. Love the blog design, btw.    ![]()    ![]() Next entry: Invasion of my safe little world Previous entry: These are a few of my favorite things In case you're wondering....
