Getting closer!
First, I apologize to those of you that have commented and haven't received a response from me. When things are back to normal, I'll start responding again. I've decided to give myself the gift of spending as few moments on the computer as possible so I can get all of my goals accomplished.

We've put together all of the new furniture but the dining room table. What a chore! We were laughing with each other last night that the move would have been MUCH easier if we hadn't decided to buy furniture that we had to put together. But we're glad that we did because what we found just fits so well with our decorating plans. Of course, I (Risiblegirl the cheapskate) like it because it's pretty darned inexpensive. We've built two hutches, a bookcase unit (with shelves covering two walls from floor to ceiling), a file cabinet, a bench for the end of the master bed, and two nightstands.

The twenty boxes of books have been either put in bookshelves or tossed. I stayed out of that decision because I know how important BJ's books are to him and I didn't want to make him feel that he had to get rid of things unless he really wanted to.

This means that EVERYTHING has been unpacked, organized and put away.

The only thing left to do besides put together the guest room beds (not new- but need to be put back together) and dining table is set up BJ's home theatre, arrange the living room and hang the artwork. We should be able to pound that out this weekend EASY.

I have a goal to arrange hubby's tools into labeled cabinets and drawers in the garage to surprise him, but I'll do that when he's on a business trip. I've organized and labeled all of the extra computer equipment and his A/V equipment so it's easier to find things in the future.

I *LOVE* organizing- can you tell? Or- could it be that I'm just a tad OCD? ha ha.

I go back to work on Monday and am very happy that I took one week off prior and one week after the move. It was just perfect.

I keep looking around and can't stop smiling because this place is so wonderful. It's still very surreal to me, but I'm sure it'll feel like home soon.

I'm certain folks will understand... you do NOT have to answer every "Hi, I'm here" comment. Enjoy your new home, feed that nesting instinct, you deserve it!
