I’ve spent WAY too much time working on my blog

As you know, I’ve been working on my blog. Changing domains, changing blog software, etc. etc. etc.

Now I’m starting to get the itch to work on my other online project, a movie database for The Hubs. I’m about half way through, but he has almost 900 DVDs. That’s a lot of work when you consider I’m putting in pics, categorizing them, rating them, and giving details such as genre, rating, year made, director, actors, etc.

So, when I’m not working on my projects, I’m thinking about them.

Last night I had a dream that we, as human beings, had to choose which template we’d live in each day. I’m starting to think, “PUT.DOWN.THE.LAPTOP.”

But that does pose an interesting thought. Really, we do have a choice in our lives to pick our template each day, don’t we?

....errrr.... maybe I just need more coffee.

Finally done
I've gone through all of my blog entries and uploaded the images, and fixed links where I was linking to my own blog. I had to fix a lot of formatting too, because some of it didn't translate over very well.

The last chore is to delete duplicate comments. Some of my entries have three or four duplicate comments. While, in the grand scheme of things that's not a big deal, I'm just enough of a freak to let that bug me.

.....not enough to finish it tonight, mind you.

If I ever say I want to do this for a living, remind me of this weekend, will you? I'd appreciate it. wink

Well, I did it!

I got all my stuff moved over to a new server AND a new platform. I read lots of great stuff about ExpressionEngine, so took the plunge. The look is the same for now because I didn’t want to take the time to design new graphics.

You’ll find lots more functionality than I had with WordPress. You’ll find lots more after I learn a bit about it.

I still need to go in and format lots of my old posts, and I need to put them back in categories. I also need to open up comments on all of the posts again so the old comments show.

I’m done working on this for the day, because I’m going out on the town tonight. I’m pretty amazed that I was able to do all of this in about six hours. It’s pretty easy to work with.

Please update your link, so you don’t have to get re-directed all the time.

Some people just walk funny
Admittedly, some of the thoughts running around in my head are a little scary. For example, sometimes when I see people riding their bikes, I hear the theme song from the Wicked Witch of the West in my head. Yep, I do.

There’s a man who rides my train that reminds me of a troll. A REAL troll (ok, I know there’s no such thing as a troll). Every morning when I see him, I think in my head, "well, hello little troll". Of course, I’d never say it out loud because that would be mean.

Last night as I was walking from the train to my car, I saw a man that was walking like he was cross-country skiing. His knees were locked and he was taking these really huge gliding-like steps. His arms were swinging like they had poles in them.

I dunno… it just struck me as being funny.
