Arrrrgh!
I re-injured the previously healed tendon last night while working out on the treadmill last night. I'm SO angry with myself. I felt a little "ouch", but then kept going. And then I felt a big ouch and stopped.

OK, OK, I get it. Stop when it hurts- ESPECIALLY on the right fankle.

I had to cancel the case study MRI scheduled for tomorrow (obviously), and I'll be calling them back when it's healed again. I called my fankle surgeon and she said to stay off my foot for a couple of weeks and baby it.

::shakes my fists in the air:: WHY????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

It’s official. I’m part of a case study.
..... one of many if someone added up all of the 'stuff' I've healed from. ha ha

I had a torn tendon back at the end of March from being an idiot (not telling the doctor that what she was having me do HURT, and pushing through the pain) during physical therapy after the previous fankle surgery. I went in for an MRI to see what was going on (didn't know about the torn tendon until then) and got a free Platelet Rich Plasma therapy (PRP) treatment during the MRI.

The MRI staff had just received training the day before on this new(ish) therapy and for some reason thought I was scheduled for one. I wasn't, but since they drew the blood and spinned it in the magical machine (not really what it's called.) they decided to go ahead and give me the treatment at no cost. The treatment is normally about a thousand bucks. Of course, they asked me first and explained everything. It seemed like a no brainer to me and I'm glad I went for it.

I went to see my fankle surgeon, at her request, on Monday so she could document that I truly was healed. She was excited to hear that I'm walking an average of 2-3 miles per day at an average of 3mph with no problems.

Apparently she called the surgeon who gave me the PRP and shared with him the good results with my torn tendon, so now he wants me to be part of a study.

So, I'm going in on Wednesday for a free MRI so they can document the before and after for their paper.

In case you're wondering what this is, here's some info. BTW, this isn't the surgeon who performed my PRP.

QOTD
When you realize how perfect everything is, you will tilt your head back and laugh at the sky.
~Buddha

"Perfect" is up to me. Today I'm going to give myself the gift of saying "No" instead of making myself crazy by meeting someone else's "pulled out of the air" deadline. As soon as I'd made that decision, I felt like things were back on track for me. I'm breathing again. Yesterday, I was just a bunch of tensed up muscles and anger because I wasn't practicing self-care.

Saying "No" has always been hard for me, but with age I'm learning that it's up to me to set boundaries. People, both professionally and personally, have had a habit of walking all over me because I've allowed them my back as a welcome mat. It's getting easier and easier for me to tell people, both professionally and personally to back off, because I see that the world doesn't come to an end. Some people don't have any awareness of appropriate boundaries. That's OK for them, just not for me.

It's really so simple, isn't it? A perfect life is much more simple than I give it credit for.

Not quite sure what was going on there…
A telemarketer called last night. I could tell it was a telemarketer because of the chatter going on in the background after I answered. Right after answering the phone I heard the person on the other line say, "somebody peed on the seat" and then they hung up.

I guess that's one way to get out of a telemarketer's call. Pee on their seats.

I'd best get busy drinking a lot of water. There are a lot of places I have to visit.

Consider it my gift to mankind.
